The 4th Annual Colin Goodier Ride, having been joined with the Ride Of Silence, took place May 18, 6.30 PM, starting from the parking lot across from
the Vet Med School, Skip Bertman Drive @ River Road. This year's ride was dedicated to Colin Goodier and
Rob Moorhead, 57, killed April 19, 2011, while riding in St. Helena Parish: An estimated 150 riders participated in the Ride of Silence. Prior to the departure, Chris Clark, 2011 organizer, and Spencer Roane, brother-in-law of
Rob Moorhead, addressed the crowd. Four members of the Baton Rouge Bagpipers played a piece while riders viewed Rob's bike, utterly ruined in the crash.
On departure, the ride turned right out of the Vet Med school
parking lot, turned left onto Nicholson towards downtown, turned right on
Government, then right on Park / Dalrymple to West Lakeshore. Reaching South
Stadium, the ride returned to its starting point via Skip Bertman Drive.
