Baton Rouge Advocates for Safe Streets (BRASS) offers Bicycle Maintenance & Repair classes every month. There is a $5.00
fee for each class, a total of $10.00 for both. It is strongly suggested that
both classes be taken in the order they are offered but you may take either as
you wish. If you miss one class try to take a “make up” class the next time
round or repeat both, as you wish. These classes are open to the public and regularly held every 3rd Tuesday and Wednesday of the month, 6.30 - 8.00 PM. We ask that anyone wishing to attend the classes contact us by emailing info@brsafestreets.org BEFORE the class is scheduled; room is limited so preregistration helps ensure you a place. After 3 great years at The Bicycle Shop, we're giving them a rest and moving to Capitol Cyclery on Essen Lane. Our thanks to everyone at The Bicycle Shop for their excellent support these past 3 year and their continued support in the future! Here's the proposed schedule for 2011:
So, what's the class about? We're happy you asked! Here's the agenda: Please bring your bike and a cleaning rag. Please print out your own copy of each if you feel you need it. At the very least, we recommend you print out the Bike Anatomy PDF. Trust us - you'll be referring to it regularly. Don't forget - email info@brsafestreets.org if you plan to attend! And please bring cash; we don't accept credit cards. Ride on! |
